Company History The Pebbles in my Pocket story began in 1992. I was a “work at home” Mom watching over my children and loving every moment of it. My happiest days were spent combining my love of journaling with my love of photography. With my husband Larry's encouragement, I began my dream of creating a scrapbook business that would inspire others to begin this fulfilling hobby and “life work”. I knew what joy it brought me and my family and hoped others would feel the same way. I eagerly jumped in and built my wings on the way. Since then, each and every day has been such a learning experience! I began my venture with a hand drawn mail order catalogue and shipped product out of my home. The business quickly outgrew our home and was moved to several locations before settling into the current location in Orem , Utah in 1994. It is fitting that our main office and store are lovingly located in a home filled with so many memories of family long before we were lucky enough to purchase it! The stores in Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah soon followed. We also added a web site ( www.pebblesinmypocket ) so that we could reach scrapbookers everywhere . . . scrapbookers like you!
The Pebbles in my Pocket name was inspired by our five daughters: Ashlee, Lindsey, Katie, Kelsie and Abby. Everywhere children go, they gather pebbles, seashells and such. They place them in their pockets, only to come home, empty them and remember the treasures they found along the way. Memories are just like these pebbles and are gathered throughout our lives. Happy times, sad times, frustrations, joys and dreams . . . everything that makes us who we are. What a gift it is to gather our memories and pass them on to loved ones! We all collect treasures. . . a snip-it of hair from a child's first haircut, memories of a favorite pet, the feeling of family togetherness during the holidays, the pride of watching your child graduate, birthday parties, first steps, a love letter etc. What are the pebbles you have picked up along the way and how will you share your story? How will you preserve them for you and future generations to enjoy? Pebbles in my Pocket is by your side to help you organize and preserve your memories. We keep our focus on simple creativity with easy ways to gather and highlight your photographs, memorabilia and journaling. We keep our eyes open for new products and services that will help to inspire and offer many simply creative ideas in scrapbooking, card making, paper crafting and memory gifts.
